serving God in other places

Jonathan%20Macy%2005b.jpgRevd Jonathan Macy, who was Curate here for four years, is now a Team Vicar in the Thamesmead Team Ministry. He is mainly based at Church of The Cross.

For those of you who don't know, the
Thamesmead parish stretches from Woolwich Arsenal right the way through to Abbey Wood, and has four congregations within it. Church of The Cross is at the Abbey Wood end of the parish. Statistically, Thamesmead is the largest parish in the Diocese with a population of 48,000; it has three churches and one informal worship centre; sixteen primary schools, three secondary schools, six residential care homes, three prisons and a football club. Also in the ministry team is a Team Rector based at St Paul's, another Team Vicar at William Temple, plus a Church Army Pioneer Youth Evangelist, alongside a strong ecumenical dimension to the parish.
